Musbbah: Everyone should stand against the narrow projects that affect the national project (Interview)

The Head of the Political and Information Department of the Women's Sector in the Yemeni Islah Party, Basar Musbbah Ghamud, has called on all Yemenis to be a united defense line, in this sensitive and critical stage, against the narrow projects that affect their national project.

In an exclusive interview with the Al-Islah.net website, she affirmed that the choice of the federal system is the best solution for all Yemenis in building a civil federal state and getting the homeland away from the tunnels of coups.

She talked about the role of the Islahi women in al-Mahra Governorate and the role of Islahi women during the past period in raising awareness of the dangers of these projects that aim to undermine the social fabric of the society of al-Mahra in particular and the Yemeni society in general.

The interview text:

* In the beginning, we would like you to inform us about the activities and programs of the Women’s Department in the Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in al-Mahra?

The Department of Women in the Yemeni Islah Party in al-Mahra Governorate has carried out many activities and programs in support of the Islahi women at the social, cultural, media and political levels to enable them to participate in society and hone their talents in order to be an element in building the society.

* What is the role had been played by the Islahi woman in al-Mahra and the women of the governorate of al-Mahra in general during the past years in the battle to end the coup and restore the state?

- The Islahi women in particular, and women in al-Mahra governorate, in general, played a major role, where they raised awareness among women about the dangers of the Houthi coup and its consequences for the governorate, as well as demanding an end to the coup, its defeat, and the restoration of the state.

* In exchange for the inclusive national project that the Yemenis aspire to, narrow opposing projects have emerged ... What should the Yemenis do at this stage? What is your role in the Islah Party in al-Mahra?

- In this sensitive and critical phase, Yemenis must be united against the narrow projects that affect their national project, which they aspire to, unify the word and stand by the legitimacy represented by His Excellency President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and his government to get the country out of the tunnel of dispersion and division.

* And what is the role of the Islahi women in particular?

The Islah Party in Al-Mahrah has an effective role in demanding the rank unity and not being dragged behind the owners of narrow projects and adherence to the legitimacy, through their societal meetings and political components in the governorate. Also, the Islahi women in al-Mahra concerned with raising awareness among women about the dangers of these projects that aim at undermining the social fabric unit of the community of al-Mahra in particular, and Yemeni society in general. And they urge the women is based on not being dragged behind these projects and rejecting them.

* Today, Yemenis have many options for building their state, but the choice of the federal system is what was agreed upon in the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference.. Do you see that it is the most appropriate solution to achieve the aspirations of Yemenis to build their state?

The choice of a federal system is the appropriate solution for all Yemenis in building a civil federal state and getting the homeland away from the coup tunnel.

* This brings us to the topic of the Centralization. Can we say that the Centralization failed completely?

- In my own view, the Centralization failed miserably in the management of the country. The state of the divisions, rivalries and coups we are experiencing today is because of the Centralization.

* How do you see the activation of political life in al-Mahrah governorate during the past period, and the role of political parties in mobilizing energies and uniting ranks and efforts at this important stage?

- In my view, the activation of the political life in al-Mahra governorate in the previous period was positive through preserving the social fabric and confronting any interventions affecting the unity of al-Mahra, so their slogan was al-Mahra first.

* And what do the Islahi women aspire to achieve during the coming period?

The Islahi women in al-Mahra aspire to empower women of al-Mahra, enhance their presence in all governmental and private institutions, rehabilitate them in various disciplines, encourage them, and overcome all the difficulties they face.

* What would you like to say at the end of this interview?
