The Houthi armed group stormed the headquarters of the Yemeni company Sabafon communications in the capital Sanaa.

The gunmen also issued illegal appointments, where they have appointed managers affiliate to their elements on the various company's administrations in addition to forging some papers and seals of the company.

The statement considered that the Houthi storming is a criminal offense based on a forgery, identity theft and seizure of private funds without legal right. It added that this was done through the control of an independent legal company and that this company is classified as the first and largest telecommunications company in the Republic of Yemen.

The statement added that the company has worked for 18 years in the service of the Yemeni community with all patience and hardness in various circumstances suffered by the country.

According to the statement, the company has endured over the past years and before them the types of targeting and encroachment on its financial resources, until it ended with blatant infringement on Wednesday by the full seizure of its capabilities and the appointment of an illegal management and does not represent the real owners.

The company explained that fraud and forgery were used as a cover for this crime and allegations that these blatant actions were based on the meeting and resolutions of the General Assembly of the company is pure lies and fabrication that is not related to the truth.

The company pointed out that the fact that happened was a blatant burglary and the rape of the rights of local and international investors who worked under the investment laws in force for the Republic of Yemen. Today, the rights and property of these investors are being attacked in broad daylight without any deterrent or denial of this shameful act.

The company confirmed that all that was included in the company's alleged meeting is completely false, forged and artificial. The meeting of the general assembly of the company was not held all this year, and its board of directors or chairman has not been changed.

The company was surprised by the false statement that was imposed on the company and its employees by force, which will lead to the imprisonment of those who issued and used this procedure for a fraud charge.

The company pointed out that the confiscation of private funds necessitates the issuance of a proper judicial ruling to do so, which is not available against Sabaafon or its shareholders.

The abduction of the director of the Yemen International Bank

Local sources said that Houthi gunmen abducted Wednesday the executive director of Yemen International Bank and took him to an unknown location.

The sources said the group's gunmen abducted Ahmed Thabet al-Absi, general director of Yemen International Bank, and took him to an unknown location.

According to sources in the bank, the abduction and concealment come on the backdrop of the Houthis demand to the bank to pay large sums of money in favor of the so-called "war effort."

Last Tuesday, the Houthi group closed al-Khatib restaurant in the capital Sana'a on the pretext of not paying a war effort.

Local sources said Houthi gunmen stormed al-Khatib restaurant on West 60th Street on Tuesday after the restaurant owner refused to pay 200 million riyals imposed by the group in support of what it calls the war effort.
