A recent human rights report revealed crimes and gross violations committed by the Houthi militia against the sons of Kushar Directorate in Hajjah governorate, who are being besieged by the Houthi militia for more than a month.

The report issued by the Coalition of Human Rights Organizations in the governorate of Hajja, warned of a major humanitarian catastrophe and horrific violations against the sons of Hajour and turns the area into a burned land.

In their report, the Coalition of Human Rights Organizations in Hajja recorded the violations of the Houthi militias against the sons of Hajour from the beginning of the aggression until the end of the past February.

The report confirmed that Houthi militia killed 52 civilians, including 2 children, 3 women, and 4 elderly persons, while 181 wounded, including 7 women and 9 children. There are 16 different cases of unconsciousness, abortion, and enuresis.

According to the report issued recently, 20 homes were demolished, including 13 houses were completely destroyed in the village of al-Namira, in addition to the bombing of a mosque and a school, as well as 1,750 houses that were severely damaged and the Houthi militias occupied 765 houses.

The report noted that five markets had been shut down because of the bombing and as a result, 2,500 workers were denied access to their daily income.

On the education side, the report reported that 20 thousand male and female students were prevented from continuing their studies and closing 115 schools, 45 of which were bombed by Houthi, 8 schools turned into military barracks by the Houthi militia and 22 others turned into housing for the displaced.

The Houthi coup militia seized 126 farms affiliated to citizens in the Kushar district of Hajjah governorate and destroyed 25 other farms because of the shelling, while the siege imposed on the area has caused 247 farms to be damaged due to the prevention of water.

The Human Rights report confirmed that 141,000 residents of Kushar in Hajour are under siege. The Houthi militias prevent access to food, water and medicine to the besieged area by creating 14 military check-points from all sides, as follows: 5 points in the north, 2 points in the south, 3 points in the east and 4 points in the west.

The report recorded the wave of displacement of the population as a result of Houthi random bombing on the homes of citizens, referring to the displacement of 650 families to other areas of the Directorate, including 1,550 families displaced outside the Directorate, pointing out that the number of the displaced within the Directorate is 24 thousand people, as well as the number of displaced outside the Directorate is more than the mentioned number.

The Human Rights report confirmed that the grave and horrific violations committed by the Houthi militia against the sons of Hajour continue to be more brutal than ever.

The Coalition of Human Rights Organizations in Hajjah governorate called on the United Nations, the Security Council and the Human Rights Council to carry out their legal and moral duty by condemning these crimes as well as exerting pressure on the Houthi militias to stop their massacres against the sons of Hajour. The coalition also called on the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Martin Griffith, to review his policy towards the actions of the Houthi militia and the unjustified silence about the Houthi violations in the Hajour area.

The Coalition called on international, regional and local Humanitarian Organizations to carry out their humanitarian duties by declaring the area of Hajour as a "disaster zone" and carrying out an urgent relief campaign.

The Coalition also called on the International Red Cross to carry out its humanitarian mission by visiting the region and to know the extent of the humanitarian disaster and to do its duty in this area.

Because of its aggressive behavior and its racist orientation, the Coalition explained in its report that the Houthi militias besieged the sons of the Kushar Directorate in the Hajour area in Hajjah governorate and mobilized their fighters from various governorates and attacked the region from all sides with various medium and heavy weapons under a shameful and suspicious silence by the international organization represented in the United Nations, the Security Council, the Human Rights Council and other International Organizations that are still completely absent from what is happening against the sons of Hajour from the violations of the Houthi militias, which amount to war crimes and genocide against humanity, which are forbidden by divine laws and punishable by International Law.
