The Yemeni Islah Party follows with amazement the American position represented by the US Senate towards Saudi Arabia in a move that jumps over diplomatic norms and ignores the sovereign right of states to manage their issues and internal affairs.

At the same time that this position is working to break the wall of relations between countries and establishing a state of suspicion and uncertainty within the international system, we in the Yemeni Islah Party consider that a behavior like this also contributes to the threat of the state's entity and weakens its logic and impact in a region where the group of violence is steadily rising at the expense of the state itself.

We also distinguish between the position supporting rights and the position that is used human rights issues for political purposes and for ensuring an effective role in the region, otherwise, what is the justification of the silence regarding the genocide in Burma, the racial annihilation in Iraq and what happened and is happening in Syria, which has been turned into a slaughterhouse for humans since Years.

The region is in dire need of stabilizing the idea of the state and strengthening its institutions, especially as the region faces the challenge of decomposition and disappearance in a sea full of militias and groups that do not believe in any law and do not commit to world peace. In this context, the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes for supporting the countries of the region and create regional frameworks for creating cooperation between these countries, and the latest action of the KSA was the meeting of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, but the last position of the US Senate was not consistent with the US commitment in the face of violence and terrorism.

The Yemeni Islah Party confirms its support for the Saudi position, which refuses the interference with its internal affairs and detracting from its very important figures. The Islah Party calls on the international community not to use human rights issues in a way that weakens state institutions and strengthens the authority of militias. If the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has responded to the Yemeni state, supported its legitimate leadership and stood up against the coup on politics and the logic of law, but the last position of the US Senate seems to be working to employ the case of Jamal Khashoggi in a way that serves only the survival of militias that overthrew the state, refused compliance with the law, threatened the international corridors, spread a culture of hatred, do not recognize borders between countries and are not concerned with the peace and stability of the world.
