Late on Tuesday evening, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the member of the Yemeni Islah Party, a 30-year-old Mr. Ali Muhammad al-Da'usi, which resulted in his death from wounds sustained, in one of Aden hospitals.

The horrific incident did not end until the second incident came in less than 24 hours on Thursday morning with an assassination attempt carried out the educator leader Debwan Ghaleb, former member of Executive Office and head of the Unions Department of the Yemeni Islah Party in Aden, but he survived such attempted assassination miraculously.

On Sunday noon, September 23, 2018, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the director of al-Bunyan National Schools in Al-Mansoura district, Mr. Ramzi Muhammad Al-Sagheer, which led to his killing him in front of the students and teachers of the school, and as usual they fled.

The martyr Ramzi al-Sagheer was a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Hikma Al-Yamania Assocition for Charity — Aden Branch and the director of al-Bunyan Schools, who replaced Sheikh Fahad al-Yunisi, who was also assassinated on October 18, 2017.

The assassination processes in the city of Aden began immediately after the liberation of the city from the Houthis in a few months from the year of 2015. Those sinful hands, who implement assassinations, continued to treat badly the city and its people without disclosing any assassination so far, despite those assassination incidents have been carried out against military leaders, sheikhs, clerics and political and civilian figures, including the former governor of Aden, Jafar Muhammad Idris.

In an unofficial statistic, these assassinations have resulted in the deaths of 44 scholars and preachers in the city of Aden so far, with different methods of assassination from one person to another, in addition to 45 officers in the army and security, and 4 of the holders of doctorates, including Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Najat Ali Muqbil and her son Eng. Sameh and his daughter in Enmaa city, which was killed on May 16, 2018.

The wave of kidnappings also increased more than in previous years, reaching 150 between religious scholars and students. Some of them were killed under torture. And according to statistics of local organizations so far, about 2000 young people from different political, partisan, religious and social currents have been imprisoned. They have been subjected to torture, which has been revealed by international organizations in successive reports, in addition to 35 people have been forcibly disappeared for almost two years.

On the official side, the local authority in Aden is always contented with launching threats against party currents, without showing any indication, investigation, or press conference regarding the wave of assassinations that are frightened the city for nearly four years or even those behind.

Political and human rights activists refer to the involvement of some security forces in Aden, which are multiple and most of them are not subject to the official authorities. Some of them associated with informal and illegal figures. These forces have threatened earlier — through their own accounts — to sweep the city from all its men who do not walk according to what they want or be among their suspicious projects.
