In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful

The 28th anniversary of the foundation of the Yemeni Islah Party comes in synchronizing with the fragrant of the anniversary of the Prophet's migration (Blessings and peace upon its owner), such journey immortalized in the history with what it contained of patience meanings in the face of violence, abuse and tyranny, and its establishment of the highness of values in the face of storms of ignorance, with what it made of the great shift in the course of human history. It also comes in the anniversary of the September and October revolutions, as they represent a victory for the values of liberation from the racial, sectarian and Imamate tyranny as well as the hated colonialism. From among these meanings the anniversary of the Party establishment comes to draw lessons from the distant and recent past in the light of the Yemeni, regional and international reality that is full of crises, difficulties and transformations, and our Yemeni people are engaged in a major battle in defense of their Arab and Islamic identity, their national history and values for which sacrificed for by providing convoys of great martyrs to establish values of justice, equality, freedom and dignity.

The Yemeni Islah Party was declared as a Yemeni political organization on September 13, 1990, with its moderate Islamic and national objectives stemming from the identity and values of the Yemeni people, in which its members from all community segments found a safe haven, with its moderate thought and approach, conscious speech and balanced behavior. The Islah Party was able to be an important addition to the national political fabric and went into a long process of peaceful struggle to use the tools of political action. It was an important partner with all national forces in the battle of building and promoting principles of consensus and partnership as safe options. The Islah Party also waged a battle to liberate popular consensus from the deposits of the past and to resist the ideas of the racial and Imamate tyranny, extremism and superstition.

Since the establishment of the party, we, at the Yemeni Islah Party, have been emphasizing at all stages and turns, that the only way to manage a country like Yemen with its civilization and history will not be through bullying and violence or through dependence on any external project, but in a state of system and institutions and the law enforcement and through adjusting relationships of the partners of homeland and its forces and components by objectives and constants of the people, for which they struggled, especially the goals of the September and October revolutions and preserving the national gains by the republican system, the unity of the people and the values of the peaceful popular youth revolution of February 11. The initiative of the brothers in the Gulf States and the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference were as a rescue ship for the country, in which the abusers sought to destroy it with crazy wishes to build projects that left the people in the seas of desolation and loss.

The talk about the idea of the state included in all the Islah Party's constants and its positions in its career since the establishment and to this day was not a luxurious word or talking about a marginal issue, but it was a clear talk about the most important national issue. The disappearance of the state means the fall and fragmentation of the homeland and the establishment of small entities that pave the way for the rule of the fought militias, which means the total collapse and drowning in the quagmire of conflict, war and destruction.

On the anniversary of the establishment, our firm conviction, at the Yemeni Islah Party, is that Yemen will not be safe and stable except in the context of its Arab environment in general and the Gulf in particular, in addition to the distinct neighborhood relationship with Saudi Arabia and the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and that the coup project and its tools are only an Iranian spear that threats the security of Yemen and the Gulf States, and the Iranian militia rockets targeting the Yemeni and Gulf citizens are clear evidence of the need to go together to end the coup and restore the state.

It is also worth recalling clearly that the Islah Party stands in all its institutions in the project and trench of resistance against the coup as one of the components of the Yemeni state led by His Excellency President Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi. For this, Islah Party is paying a huge bill through systematic targeting it subjected to. Islah with all our people make great sacrifices. We find it appropriate to express our pride and appreciation for those sacrifices, expressing our regret for the false campaigns that falsely attempt to harm the sacrifices of the national army that protects the prestige of the state and try to minimize its role. , and attribute it to factional and partisan affiliations and as a national institution at the hand of the people and their leaders. In this context, the Islah Party appreciates the pivotal role played by Saudi Arabia-led Arab Alliance led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and His Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman - may God preserve them — to restore the country kidnapped by the Houthi coup, which is the most dangerous arm of the Iranian regime that seeks to extract Yemen from its Arab environment and turn it into a battlefield for harming its brothers and neighbors. This is rejected by the Islah Party, which is fighting the coup with all the political, media and field tools of the resistance within the framework of the national resistance project, and the efforts of the Islah Party and the sacrifices of its leaders and youth on all fighting fronts is the price of duty.

The Islah was only part of the Yemeni fabric that shares the neighborhood and destiny with its Gulf and Arab surroundings. Any talk about classifications and pivots made by the false media that put the name of Islah in it is an empty talk that will not discourage the Islah Party from its exclusive struggle to resist the coup and restore the state. In this regard, we affirm that we have opened our hearts and our policies to all brothers and all the honorable people who are ready to help our people in their ordeal resulted from the coup.

The coup represented a threat to the national project and hit this project in its depth and there is no better response to this coup, after the battle of liberation, only to rebuild the army on a national basis and prevent any armed formations outside the framework of the state and its powers, because the unification of military and security construction within the framework of the national institutions is a gate of stability. The threat of terrorism is similar to the danger of the coup and the two sides participate in the task of drowning the country into chaos. Therefore, we at the Yemeni Islah Party call for a national strategy that addresses the phenomenon of violence and terrorism, a strategy that addresses the problem and its real causes from the root, a strategy that spreads awareness, addresses poverty, provides security, sponsors freedoms, prevents extremists from using the religion in their battles, because they are far from the values and principles of the religion that calls for peace, prohibits murder, protects rights, urges compliance with the law, does not recognize intellectual extremism, and encourages the moderation in thought and behavior.

The security and service situation in the liberated areas — especially in the interim capital Aden, with all its unfortunate details represented in assassinations of national and religious symbols, assault of the political forces, violation of the rights, the absence of state institutions and bad services — is a harbinger of danger that requires a responsible stance from all political and societal forces. And we express our deep regret for the events that took place in the city of Taiz that was about to blow away the city steadfast in the face of the coup unless the wisdom and the responsible position of His Excellency the President of the Republic through his efforts to strengthen security in the city to be the important entrance to the liberation of the city, these thankful efforts must continue in order to include all the liberated areas.

Our people are facing the destructive effects because of the coup against the state. One of the features of this coup and its effects is the dreadful decline in the national currency and effects associated with this devastating decline on the difficult living conditions and the breadth of poverty cycle. And this is a situation resulted from the destruction of the country's economic structure, the looting of the cash reserves, the control of social welfare funds and the confiscation of charitable societies by the coup militias. This situation requires the government, brothers in the Arab Alliance and the international community to assume their great responsibilities in reducing this dreadful collapse and stand by our people in their ordeal, as outbreak and continuation of the war and all the disastrous humanitarian consequences suffered by our steadfast Yemeni people are only expressions of the sectarian Houthi coup supported by Iran The Government must also begin urgently to implement the orders of His Excellency the President of the Republic to take urgent measures to stop this collapse.

The violation of human life and dignity, subjecting to abuse, violation of the principles of Islamic law, international law and the values and originality of Yemeni society in dealing with prisoners and abductees, and subjecting them to torture and humiliation in the prisons of the coup militias and all illegal prisons are crimes make the perpetrators in the face of the justice. The release of prisoners and abductees is important, all components of national action and the rights and freedoms organizations should be fighting for that, the application of the law and the release of all detainees and forcibly hidden outside the framework of the law in the liberated areas.

Today, political parties and civil forces are required to work on developing their performance to be the civilian face of the national project. Hence, we see that the national forces face great challenges and enormous tasks in the struggle to restore the civilian face of Yemen, where forces of violence and sectarianism and regionalism act to distort it. In this regard, we emphasize the need to declare the National Alliance as soon as possible in order to continue to support the legitimacy and provide national support for it in the battle for the restoration of the state, as well as in order to activate the political process, reactivate the civilian action, working for strengthening partnership and consensus in managing the stage, improve the performance of the legitimacy and the adoption of efficiency and conditions for holding public positions in accordance with the law, rationing of spending and justice in spending between different regions, fight corruption, reduce the economic deterioration and alleviate the suffering of citizens as a result.

The belief in the right of individuals and forces to peacefully express opinion and the disciplined protest as a legitimate and authorized right is a respectable civic behavior, but violence, aggression against public interests, disruption of life, spreading chaos and abuse of brothers and national symbols are considered chaotic behaviors that do not serve the nation and harm it. Therefore, we call on all forces to have the responsibility and commitment to civic and civilization behavior in expressing their opinion.

The resolutions and recommendations of the Security Council and the efforts of the UN Envoy make the international community obliged to stand firmly against Iranian intervention and its threat to regional security and international navigation. They must also characterize exactly the conflict in Yemen between the coup militias, which have turned against the national and international authorities, and the legitimacy that faces this coup project that turned against the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, Gulf initiative and Security Council resolutions to be a starting floor for international efforts in Yemen.

In all stages since its coup against the state, the coup militias have proved that they do not believe in peace. Rather, their composition is based on a culture of violence and terrorism, and their view of any consultations or talks stems from their attempt to gain time to mobilize more tools of war and destruction. And that it is meaningless to talk about peace with those who believe only in war and that the international community must stand before those who obstruct the resolutions of the Security Council and turn their backs on the international efforts. The proof of this is the recent position of the Houthi militias that have thwarted the recent Geneva consultations. In this context, we confirm our displeasure at the negative and non-constructive position of the UN envoy towards the militias that worked to thwart the consultations, where his last statements as if he to seek justification for the rejection of the militias for peace calls, an end to the war, the return of state institutions and an end to the suffering of our people.

While we celebrate the anniversary of the foundation of the Yemeni Islah Party, we greet the efforts of the leaders and members of the Yemeni Islah Party in all governorates, their standing against the coup project and their involvement in the resistance project using all the tools of resistance, estimating the great sacrifices through convoys of martyrs, abductees, wounded and displaced persons and their stand against the bulldozing of institutions, the systematic targeting, the media artifice and that did not discourage their determination, but all those were as a motivation to exert efforts and openness to all the partners of the homeland and to wage the battle of victory for the homeland. In this context, we affirm that media campaigns aimed at the Yemeni Islah Party will not hinder its progress or its participation in achieving its national goals with all our people.

The blessed land of Yemen, which was adorned with the blood of its finest sons in a battle imposed by the forces of darkness, will not accept the seeds of the priestly heritage, nor the sectarian ideology, nor the racist or regional behavior, because the power of truth is clear, and that no matter how wide the area of carelessness and gambling, and left behind this bitter reality that puts before us as Yemeni authority, forces, parties and individuals a historic responsibility to lift our homeland and heal its wounds. And this will be only with minds aware of the difficulty of reality and hearts feel the magnitude of the pain and harm that touched people after the falls of blood and the volume of destruction and deep wounds in the body of the homeland, and that there is nothing after these major sacrifices, but the clear victory, God willing.

Finally, the Islah Party follows the words of the Prophet Shu'ayb (peace be upon him), who was mentioned by Allah's saying: “I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him I trust, and unto Him I look.”
