Only five political forces control the local decision and the leadership of the state institutions in the Yemeni temporary capital Aden, while the rest of the components and other political forces in the province are away of this. This is according to statistics of the leadership positions and managers, and since figures do not lie, this statistic dispels the claims of the control of Islah Party.

In an accurate statistics conducted by Aden Post for local authority leaders, Aden governorate agents, directors of districts as well as the directors of the executive offices of the governorate, the local institutions and their political affiliations. It shows that the General People's Congress (GPC) controls 60% While the Southern Movement comes in second place with 27%, while the Yemeni Socialist Party is third with 7%. Salafis and the independents share fourth place with 3% in Aden.

Islah party, the Nasserist Unionist Organization, the Arab Baath Socialist Party, the Hizb ut-Tahrir and other political components in Aden remain outside the political forces controlling the decisions in Aden.

The allegations of Islah control in Aden, are aimed at excluding the party by its political opponents, denying it from any political participation in the interim capital, and keeping it as a part to be blamed for disappearence of the vital needs of citizens' lives

The position of the Director of the Department of Education in Aden, led by Professor Salem Mughalis, was the only position for Islahi party in the province. The former governor of Aden, Major General Aidrous Al-Zubaidi, dismissed him after taking office.

The General People's Congress and the Southern Movement share the leadership of the local authority in Aden at the present time through the position of the governor of Aden and the secretary general of the local council. While the seats of these political components are distributed in the position of agents of the province, where five agents are from the General People's Congress and nine agents are from the Southern Movement, along with one agent only of Salafis and another one who is independent.

The Southern Movement controls a large proportion of directorates' directors in Aden, with 6 seats, while the General People's Congress and the Salafis share the remaining two seats as one seat for each.

For the office and executive directors, the General People's Congress has 30 seats. The Southern Movement comes second with eight seats, while the Yemeni Socialist Party comes third with 5 seats, Salafis with one seat, and 3 seats for the independent.

The General People's Congress has 18 of the whole 22 seat of the independent and local institutions in Aden, while the Southern Movement and the Yemeni Socialist Party share the remaining four seats, with two seats for each.

It should be noted that the name of "The Southern Movement", classified in this statistic, gathers some political forces, such as the Yemeni Socialist Party, The General People's Congress and the Association of sons of the South Arab, this gathering is because some administrative leaders belong to the movement and prefer to still have their membership in those parties and this is noticed repeatedly in several cases.
