The Yemeni Islah Party in Aden announced the death of the lawyer Safwan al-Sharjabi, one of its youth cadres, who was assassinated by unidentified persons on board a white Toyota Corolla on Wednesday evening in front of his house.

The Islah party of Aden put the responsibility upon the Ministry of the Interior and the security services to expose the perpetrators and brought them to a fair trial.

The Islah of Aden called on the President of the Republic, the government and the Arab Coalition to take responsibility for what happens of the security chaos in the interim capital of Aden.

The Yemeni Association for Reform in Aden condemns the lawyer, Safwan Abdulmawla al-Sharjabi, one of its youth cadres in the city of Al-Mualla-Aden. Al-Sharjabi was killed in an assassination in front of his home on Wednesday evening, May 9, 2018, by shooting him by unknown gunmen on a white Toyota Corolla.

The assassination of the martyr Safwan comes within the series of assassinations targeting the preachers and reformers. The martyr was a man with good morals in his environment and has a big popularity among the youth of his city.

The assassination is part of the plot that has been targeting the Yemeni Islah Party and its cadres in Aden Governorate since three years. This assassination is the result of the large and continuous media incitement by the trumpets that have been saturated with a culture of violence, exclusion, hatred, and division.

As for what happened, we are in the Islah Party of Aden put the responsibility on security authorities - especially the Security Director of Aden - of the terrible failure to control security, protect the lives of citizens, curb crime, bleeding of the imams, preachers, and reformers, in addition to the pursuit, arrest, assassination of political cadres and the storming of the partisan headquarters.

We also stress the need for the Ministry of the Interior and the security services to take their responsibility for exposing the perpetrators of the crime and appearing them before the tribunal to get their punishment.

We, at the Yemeni Islah Party in Aden, demand the Presidency of the Republic, the legitimate government, the Ministry of the Interior and the Arab Coalition forces to bear the responsibility for the horrific security chaos and the return of the series of assassinations that is taking place in the interim capital Aden. We call upon all of them to play their national and religious role.

May Allah have mercy on the martyr Safwan and the rest of imams and preachers and inspired his family patience and solace.
