Al-Audayni: Palestine has been in the conscience of Yemenis since the Republic, and Taiz is Yemen's Gaza and reflects this principled approach

Adnan al-Audayni, Deputy Head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, said that Palestine has been and will remain the focus of the Yemeni conscience and the title of his effective movement, from the era of the Republic until today.

In a topic he published on his account on the (X) platform on Wednesday evening, al-Audayni made it clear that the Palestinian issue was never a secondary concern for the Yemenis and was never separated from their major priorities.

He referred to the city of Taiz by describing it as Yemen's Gaza and the big open prison, stressing that it reflects this principled approach with a political position consistent with the struggle of the free Yemeni people, who are fighting for their state just as the Palestinians do, or close to that.

Al-Audayni’s speech came as a result of a call issued by the Yemeni Islah Party in Taiz Governorate, on Wednesday, in which it called on its members, supporters, and all the people of the Governorate to go out on Friday (March 1, 2024)in a massive march in support of the Palestinian people.

The Yemeni Islah Party in Taiz confirmed that this call comes in the context of Yemeni popular solidarity with the people of Palestine who are being subjected to genocide by the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

This call comes within the framework of the Islah Party’s permanent and steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause and standing with them against the crimes and plans of the Zionist occupation.

It is worth noting here that demonstrations took place in many Yemeni Governorates to denounce the continuation of the genocidal war against the people of Gaza, and this confirms the firm position of the Yemeni people towards the Palestinian issue.
