The Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in the Valley of Hadhramawt held a panel discussion on Sunday in Sayun on the living conditions and accompanying social phenomena.

Participants in the panel discussion discussed the difficult economic conditions and living conditions that citizens in the governorate are suffering from, in addition to the deteriorating level of public services, most notably electricity and the high prices of oil derivatives, which have burdened citizens and increased their suffering coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

During the panel discussion, the current situation was reviewed and the negative effects of the difficult economic conditions experienced by citizens in the governorate were reviewed, as well as the focus on the continuous rise in food costs, the lack of job opportunities and rising inflation, which negatively affects the ability of families to meet their needs. the basic.

In light of these difficult conditions, the Islah Party stressed the importance of the concerned authorities taking measures to alleviate the living burdens suffered by citizens and harnessing the governorate’s resources for the benefit of improvement and reducing the effects of the crisis that the nation is witnessing.

The Hadhramawt Valley Islah Party called on the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the local authority to fulfill their obligations towards the citizen, work to provide the necessary support to enhance economic capabilities, encourage investment, and create job opportunities in the Governorate.

It stressed the need to take effective and urgent measures to alleviate the daily suffering suffered by citizens, implement policies and programs aimed at achieving sustainable development, and improving the standard of living in the Governorate.

It called on the local authority in Hadramaut to activate the role of local councils and community committees in order to carry out their duties as stipulated in the constitution, as well as to empower competent cadres to manage the affairs of the Governorate away from favoritism and the policy of exclusion and marginalization.

It urged political and societal parties and components to play their role and intensify their efforts to follow up on the local authority and remedy what can be done to recover the economic situation and save the citizen’s life.
