The Legal Department in the Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in the Capital Municipality condemned the continued issuance of death and prison sentences by the Iranian terrorist Houthi militia against many members of the Party and citizens in the capital, Sana’a.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, it expressed its denunciation of the issuance of death sentences and imprisonment against citizens, the latest of which was last Monday after abducting them from their homes, fabricating false charges against them, torturing them, and forcibly disappearing them for years through its courts that lack jurisdiction and official status in the capital, Sana’a.
The Islah Party’s legal department in the capital secretariat held full legal responsibility on everyone who issued these non-existent orders against party members and citizens, committed those crimes, or participated in them with their title and position.
She confirmed that citizens have been subjected to many crimes and violations in terrorist militia prisons since their abducting until the present day, and that these crimes do not have a statute of limitations.
The Islah Party’s legal department in the capital, Sana’a, called on the Attorney General of the Republic to issue an order to initiate criminal cases against the members and leaders of the terrorist Houthi militia, who are impersonating the judiciary and committing hundreds of crimes and violations against citizens in the secretariat of the capital, Sana’a, and their money and rights, in addition to working to refer them to the judiciary until they receive punishment the crimes they committed in accordance with the Constitution, the law, and the decision of the National Defense Council, which decided to classify the Houthi militias as a terrorist group.
It placed responsibility on the UN envoy, Hans Grundberg, for the consequences of the continued farcical political trials in the Houthi militia courts and the illegal rulings (issued by courts without jurisdiction) against a number of abducted persons who were released under recent prisoner exchange deals under his auspices.
The Department called on international and local human rights organizations, civil society institutions, branches of political parties, and the UN envoy to Yemen to condemn these crimes and their perpetrators.
