During the last September, the Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) in Yemen has recorded 129 human rights violations committed by the Houthi militias in Taiz governorate.

In its monthly report, the HRITC stressed by saying “the continuation of the siege imposed by the Houthi militias on the city three and a half years ago and targeting unarmed civilians by killing through direct sniping and artillery shelling, which exacerbated the deterioration of the health situation.”

The HRITC said that “its Field Team has documented last month the killing of 16 civilians, including 12 men, 3 children and a woman, noting that five of them were killed by a sniper affiliated to the Houthi militia, three others with militia shells, and two civilians by a landmine randomly planted by Houthis on the roads and farms, while three civilians killed by anti-State gunmen, and 3 others by unknown gunmen.”

The Field Team also documented the injury of 30 civilians, including 18 men, 3 women and 9 children, of whom 7 were killed by militia shells, 6 civilians by militia sniper and 7 civilians by landmines that continuously cultivated by the Houthis, while 9 civilians were shot dead by anti-State militants, and another civilian killed by unidentified gunmen.

The HRITC confirmed that the militia committed a new massacre in al-Muzaffar Directorate by mortar shells and Katyusha rockets led to killing 3 civilians, including a child, and their bodies were torn to shreds.

The HRITC also documented the forcible displacement of 45 families by the militia in the village of al-Kadama in the area of al-Kuhaifa towards the center of Maqabnah district after targeting the area with missiles and heavy weapons, and it is afraid that the militia plants mines and explosive devices on roads, houses and farms of the village.

The HRITC's team has documented 9 cases of violations of public property that were partially damaged as a result of the shelling by Houthi militias. In addition, 24 cases of violations of private property were recorded, including 5 severely damaged houses and 13 houses partially damaged by the bombing of the militias.

The militia also blew up a house and a bridge in the village of al-'Uthair, while unknown gunmen raided two gold shops, and a car and a house were subjected to bullets.
