Text of the statement as received:

The Yemeni Islah Party in the governorate of Hodeidah is following with great concern the continued deterioration of the living life of the citizens because of the collapse of the national currency and the rise in prices of commodities, oil derivatives and traffic resulting from that deterioration, which compounded the pain and suffering on citizens who stood in the face of the coup and its destructive priestly war against the Yemeni people on four years.

The Yemeni Islah Party of Hodeidah governorate confirms that the sons of Hodeidah are the most affected by the repercussions of the war imposed on them by the Houthis and their practice of plundering the revenues of the province of Hodeidah, displacing, terrorizing, chasing, killing, kidnapping its sons, plundering their private and public funds, causing the cessation of business and fishing because of the terrorist acts carried out by the Houthi militias by land and sea and in the territorial and international waters in the Red Sea.

The Yemeni Islah Party in Taiz stressed that the economic deterioration is one of the manifestations of the general deterioration caused by the coup against the state by the rebel Houthi militia, where the looting of financial resources and the reserve of the Central Bank of hard currency was a part of its destructive project, and the control of all revenues of various sectors of the state, the subjugation of these revenues to wage war, to starve and to exhaust the Yemeni people, who resisted them in order to divert the attention of the people from the battle of restoring the state to thinking of the difficult livelihood, in addition to reasons related to the corruption within the government, the lack of control of imports, and the inability of the state to control many important financial resources.

The Islah Party demands the government to speed up the development of solutions and remedies for economic problems and to stop the continuous collapse of the national currency by adopting a comprehensive program of economic reform that starts from spreading power over all seaports, airports and earning institutions, re-export oil and gas derivatives, the control and correction of the Central Bank activity, in addition to take strict measures against currency speculators in order to stop the national currency collapse, restore the recovery and stability of the currency.

At the time in which the Yemeni Islah Party appreciates the government efforts to address the situation, it renews its call on the government to return to the homeland and strengthen coordination with the brothers in the Arab Alliance to find radical treatments for economic problems and restore the confidence of citizens.

The Islah Party stresses the importance of putting an end to the battle of Hodeidah, because Hodeidah is considered the last lifeline for the militias of Houthi, where the militias exploit the city's port to bring the Iranian arms through it. The restoration of the port of Hodeidah is a restoration of a decent life for the citizens of Tihama in particular and for the Yemenis in general. This seaport will serve to support the state budget by imports and will bring many economic and living solutions to the country. The survival of the war is open without putting an end to it constitutes double sufferance, leading to an expansion of famine, homelessness, displacement and the collapse of infrastructure.

The Yemeni Islah Party appreciates the national and heroic role of the army and security forces in all their military formations, the resistance of Tihama and the support of the brothers in the Arab Alliance led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their great efforts to liberate Hodeidah and its seaport from the coup militias.

The Islah calls on the United Nations and the international community to protect their humanitarian aid, which is being shelled and looted by the Houthi militias, and also calls upon them to assume their moral responsibility to stop the massacres committed by the Houthi militias against civilians by shelling their homes with artillery and rockets, taking the lives of innocent citizens, and conducting investigations in these massacres committed by the militias in Hodeidah and its Directorates, including the kidnapping, torture to death and the systematized killing of citizens.

The Islah Party also calls on all international, regional and local actors to quickly save the health situation representing in the circulation of the cholera epidemic, which is taking the lives of the population, to contribute to the relief of the displaced persons inside and outside Hodeidah.

Mercy for the martyrs… Healing for the wounded… Freedom for the abductees… Glory and victory for Yemen…
