Ibb: Houthi militias kidnap and imprison nine members of International Medical Corps

  Almasdaronline- Militias of Houthis and forces loyal to ousted president Saleh have kidnapped nine members of the International Medical Corps, who are working in the province, said local sources on Wednesday in Ibb province, central Yemen. The source told Almasdaronline that militants belonging to Houthis and Saleh have taken the staff to the prison of criminal investigation unit in the province, but has not given any further details about reasons behind the abduction were mentioned. The International Medical Corps has threatened to stop its activities in case its staff members are not released. This incident came a few days after Doctors Without Borders has suspended its activities in the province following the intervention of the Houthi militants in its work. The International Medical Corps is a humanitarian non-profitable organization specialized in saving lives and alleviating the sufferings, through providing health care services and training and carrying out development projects. It was established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses.
